- Leave stones in their settings and avoid polishing or cleaning solely for the evaluation.

Ask each buyer for a written offer for the same items. Compare the tested karat, net gold weight, price per gram in Canadian dollars and total amount payable. Ask about fees, deductions and how stones are valued. Check when the offer was made, because market prices change. We will match any written offer for your gold jewellery.
Does the weight include stones and other materials?
The gold estimate uses the net weight of the gold alloy at its tested karat, excluding stones and non-gold parts. Enter this weight beside the matching purity in our calculator; do not multiply it by the karat percentage again. Leave stones in place before your visit so we can explain how the whole piece is assessed.
When should I sell my gold?
The decision depends on your needs and the offer available when your items are evaluated. Prices change, so an online estimate is a starting point rather than a guaranteed final amount. We test and weigh your gold in front of you, explain the offer and leave the decision to you. If you accept, payment is made in store.
Can I sell broken gold jewellery?
Yes. Broken chains, single earrings and older rings can still contain valuable precious metal. We examine the items and explain the basis of the offer.
Do the gold jewellery prices apply to every coin or bar?
Coins and bullion are assessed individually. Ask us about your particular items rather than assuming the jewellery rate applies to every form of precious metal.
What if I have 500 g or more of gold?
Our price table includes a separate volume column for qualifying transactions of 500 g or more. The threshold uses net gold weight, excluding stones and non-gold parts.
Do I have to sell after the evaluation?
No. The evaluation is free and you remain free to decide. If you accept an offer for your gold, payment is made in store.
